Dia de los Muertos is November 2nd and it's a big day here in the Mission District.
To commemorate this very special Mission tradition, we've created custom papel picado that features our neighborhood, our city, and our bikes.
Local Mexican American bike advocate, Bosco Hernandez created these designs which have been hand cut by artisans in Mexico.
The four designs are:
- The Mission District A taqueria, the SF skyline, a Mission bike and a realistically filthy Mission street.
- San Francisco Includes all of the expected icons, a mini skeleton critical mass, and the message "Viva la Revolucion."
- Coches Menos Same graphic as above but with the message: "Miles de Coches Menos" the equivalent to "One Less Car."
- Traditional papel picado with a twist - bike parts.
Two sizes available small ($7.99) and large ($9.99). 8 & 13 feet long.
Available online here.
