Where is Mission Bicycle?

We are located at 766 Valencia Street in the Mission district. If you're visiting us from out of town, take BART to the 16th street station. Locals: you can also reach us via MUNI bus lines #33, 14, and 22 as well as the 16th & Mission BART station.

What's the maximum tour size?

Eight riders. We keep our tours small to ensure you have access to your guide and get a detailed experience.

What's the minimum tour size?

Tours with fewer than 2 bookings may need to be rescheduled. You have the option to select a new tour date, or receive a full refund. We'll reach out no later than 48 hours before your tour to make those arrangements.

What bikes do you offer?

Mission Bicycles of course. We offer both single speed freewheel and internally geared 3-speed and 8-speed bikes. Your tour guide will perform a fit test to ensure you're riding the size and style you're comfortable on.

What should I wear?

Whatever you wear to visit your local cafe. All tours travel at a comfortable and relaxed pace. You don't need any special clothing and you're not likely to break a sweat.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Helmets are available for all riders. Riders under 18 are required by law to wear one, riders over 18 may choose.

What happens if I get a flat tire?

You probably won't, but if you do your tour guide will repair it for you on the spot.

What's the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations within 4 hours of your tour will be charged in full.

What happens if it's raining?

Tours will proceed in a light drizzle but will be cancelled if we're sure of moderate to heavy rain. You'll have the option to be rescheduled, or have your fee fully refunded. If there's any risk of cancellation we will send you an email the day before your tour.

Can you store my stuff during the tour?

Yes. We'll gladly stow your bags or gear safely in the shop while we're out on the bikes.
