(product info)
Like a kid in a candy store, choose your future. These colors are sure to stand out and you'll be fighting off all the people wanting to know about your new bike.
Rims (What is this?)
The Rim is what your tire attaches to and it gives your wheels it's shape. This is what it's all about, Velocity Deep V rims. These beauties will always stand out in a crowd. Make sure you choose your hubs to match your rims, or even better mismatch it all. That's the point of a custom fixie.
Note - The availability for common rim colors, such as white and red, are low. If you order these rims, please expect a longer wait period until you get your bike. But don't worry, we'll keep you posted on your bike's status.
Tires (What is this?)
The CST tires are great for all around riding, but if you're going to be in wetter climate, like San Francisco or Seattle, you might want to consider upgrading to the Vittoria's. They have a bit more grip and also come in some sweet colors, perfect for those Deep V's.
Hubs (What is this?)
Hubs are the center part of your wheel, they connect spokes to your rim and your wheel to the frame. The type of hub determines how smooth your new bicycle with ride. They also make a tremendous impact on how your wheels will look. The current trend on modern fixies is to use high-flange hubs, they make your wheels more noticeable and give that extra stiffness to your ride.
(product info)
These are great all-around hubs. The flashy colors can really be an asset to the overall look of your bike and the high-flange keeps that track style.
(product info)
Miche Pimeto Pista hubs are a perfect upgrade from the Origins. They are lighter weight with smooth, fast bearings.
(product info)
* Phil Wood hubs are the creme de la creme in the cycling world. Hand-built in San Jose, California. If you're looking for the best for your new bike, look no further. These hubs cost $200 because there is nothing better out there when it comes to quality and style.
Spokes and Nipples (What is this?)
Spokes are like the bones of your wheel, they attach your hub to your rim and need to be strong without adding too much weight to your entire bicycle. Of course, black spokes cost a little more, but they do look amazing. Also an upgrade from "DT Champions" to "DT Competitions" help you loose 35 grams of weight per wheel. So effectively take 2.5 ounces of dead weight off your bike.
Please note that all our black spokes are currently backordered but we hope to have them again soon! Please contact us for current wait times.
Handlebars and Tape/Grip (What is this?)
Your handlebars make a big difference in how you position your body on the bicycle and also the style you will be portraying when you ride.
(product info)
Bullhorn handle bars are great for semi-upright riding. They give you that lean without the full forward tuck of traditional drop bars.
(product info)
These Riser bars are the new standard in urban fixie riding. They let your ride sitting more upright and make those fast turns you need to avoid hitting that taxi.
(product info)
Some Track Bars are the standard in fixed gear riding. They lean your body forward and give your bike a very traditional look. If you're looking for an upgrade, check out the Nitto Tokyo Track Bars. They are top notch track bars, that are lighter and approved by the Japanese Keirin racing league.
(product info)

If you're building your dream fixed gear the Acros headset is the hands down winner. Smooth sealed bearings with an array of colors and light as a feather.

(product info)
Acros headsets are pretty awesome. Smooth sealed bearings and sweet anodized colors. I like the gold one.
Saddle (What is this?)
The saddle is what you sit on while you're riding and you want only the best for your behind, so choose wisely. Well, actually both these saddles are great, so don't be worried. The "Mike Aitken Saddle" is a tad wider and the "Selle Italia C2 Saddle" is a little skinner. Selle has been a leader in bicycle saddles for many years and won't let you down, but the "Mike Aitken Saddle" does come in white. Tough Decision.
(product info)
This is a good saddle for city riding and urban cruising. Wide enough for your butt and comfortable for those city streets.
(product info)
Riding every single day? Putting on some major miles? You may want to consider upgrading to this saddle. It takes a little getting used to, but after you start to ride more you'll realize the difference.
Stem (What is this?)
The stem connects your handlebars to your frame. It plays a part in the position your handlebars will sit.
(product info)
This is a great all around stem, perfect for the daily grind on your new fixie.
(product info)
If you're going for the NJS track bars your going to need a top of the line stem. They match beautifully.
Bottom Bracket (What is this?)
The bottom bracket is the set of bearing that your crank relies on to let you spin as fast as you can. We only use the best shimano bottom brackets, but if you want to take off some weight and spin a little faster the Stronglight JP400 won't disappoint you.
Crankset (What is this?)
The Crank is the two arms that connect to the bottom bracket. These are what your pedals attach to and also what your front chain ring attaches to as well. So to break it down further, a crank consists of two arms, and a chain ring. They all assemble together with your bottom bracket so your pedal your bicycle.
(product info)
The Stronglight Speed City Road crank is a perfect crank for your urban fixed gear. Forged aluminum and all the style you would expect from one of the leading french crank designers. Note - This also comes with a Black Chainguard to help keep your pant leg out of your chain.

These cranks are the hottest colorized track cranks on the market. We particularly love how the gunmetal gray looks!
(product info)
The Stronglight Track Crank is specifically designed for track bicycles. Forged aluminum with a minimal weight. This is a great crank for the velodrome.
Seatpost (What is this?)
The Seatpost connects your saddle to the frame. We only use the highest quality alloy posts, but if you want to take your style to another level you can upgrade to the "Rockwerks Seatpost" and get that black beauty. If you want to take off a few grams you might want to consider the "Thomson Seatpost", known through out the cycling industry as a leader in technology and style. The "Thomson" also has an adjustable tilt feature for full control of your body position.
Chain (What is this?)
KMC is our favorite company for chains, and we have several options, but that's why you want a Mission Bicycle right?
(product info)
These are great style additions to your bicycle. Smooth and strong in a ton of colors.
(product info)
A nice upgrade to everyone who rides regularly in wet weather. These "Rustbuster Chains" are "rust proof". Anyone who has seen an old Schwinn from 1975 has seen rusted chain that is now an artifact. If they would have had these chains back then, we'd all be riding Schwinns..... probably not, but you get the point.
(product info)
These "KMC Gold Chains" are awesome. Smooth as silk and a lot lighter than normal chains. Chains are notoriously heavy, but this little gem really performs.... and it's gold.
Gear Configuration
By default, your Mission Bicycle only comes with a front brake and fixed gear. If you upgrade to Freewheel + Fixed Gear, you'll get a front and rear brake and both gear combinations. If you want to change this setup, fill out the "Further Customization" box on the order confirmation page and we'll hook it up.
(product info)
All Mission Bicycles come set up for fixed gear riding. This means that when your bike is moving, the pedals are turning. (i.e. no coasting) If you have any questions about this you can check out our FAQ page.
(product info)
A freewheel will let your bicycle coast. Most people who ride these style of bikes have their bicycles set up as fixed, so we will add the freewheel IN ADDITION to having a fixed gear. If you choose this option your bike will be able to coast and ride fixed at the flip of a wheel. The additional cost also covers the cost of the rear brake.
Further Customization (What is this?)
