Papel picado is a Mexican folk art tradition of decorative hand cut paper.

A few years ago, with the help of our neighbors Casa Bonampak, we had custom bicycle papel picado made from tissue paper by artisans in Mexico. We were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response and had several more paper editions made.

Now we're happy to offer a permanent way to enjoy and display a papel picado panel: laser cut from maple plywood. Each panel is individually cut here in San Francisco and available exclusively at Mission Bicycle.
